Homecoming Information 2021
Every fall, students look forward to Homecoming. This year the event will operate differently to work with COVID safety protocols.
The location for the homecoming dance this year will be in “the cafeteria, terrace, and administrative parking lot,” according to SCA Sponsor, Ms. Charlotte Radcliff. Each location will be decorated in the theme of this year’s dance: “Let the Games Begin.”
“I can’t give too much away, but we have a lot of money, backdrops, lights, and other things like that,” says SCA member, Sydney Hall, on decorations for this year.
The homecoming dance will have activities, board games, and more that match the theme. The food will be a mix of packaged and prepackaged snacks. Tents containing photo booths, DJ equipment, food, drinks, and the dance floor will be set up outside. Masks are required inside, but can be taken off while outside and in the tents.
“I want students to feel excited to embrace the new way hoco is happening this year,” SCA member Addie Hafer said. “They should be excited to have this fun experience with their friends, even if it’s a little bit different.”
The week of homecoming will be a spirit week and will have a theme for each week day. The spirit day themes for the week will start on Monday with PJ Day; Tuesday with Country vs. Country Club; Wednesday with Jersey Day; Thursday with Throwback Thursday; and Friday with a combo of a Blackout for freshman through juniors and Toga Day for seniors. The week will conclude with a pep rally to celebrate our undefeated Bulldogs before they take on the Falcons of Briar Woods in this Friday’s football matchup.
